How I Help

  • Manual techniques including myofascial release, visceral mobilization and joint mobilization. To eliminate muscle and nerve tension, optimize joint movement and minimize scar tissue.

  • Neuromuscular re-education: Learn how your muscles are connected to your core, breathing, posture and stress response. Understand the root cause of your pain, including brain retraining when pain has become chronic and stuck.

  • EMG Biofeedback: Provides real-time feedback on your muscle activity, allowing you to optimize relaxation and strength of the pelvic muscles.

  • Lifestyle modifications: Identify and address any potential factors in your home environment and triggering activities that you do daily.

  • Modalities as needed to assist in relaxation of the tissues and pain modulation.

  • Posture assessment and home and work ergonomic assessment to identify challenges in positioning.

  • Guided progressive relaxation and education on optimizing breathing for relaxation and downregulation of the nervous system.

  • Gentle and gradual exercise progression for return to activities and to meet demands in life.

  • Incorporation of core strengthening as needed to optimize forces across the pelvic girdle.
